Pop country

At my day job I am forced to listen to a pop country radio station all day everyday. I am hesitant to ask to change it for various reasons. 

The music is horrible enough, but the worst part is that each song is played about five times in an 11 hour work day. I have grown to love some songs and to vehemently hate others. I have become intimate with many of them. I have decided to dissect and analyze certain songs here. 

The obvious issues of similar chord progressions from song to song and various gimmicks (key changes, instrument choices) aside, I will mostly focus on lyrical content and its assault on feminism and general common sense. Stay tuned (lol)!

Well, really...

I don't actually hate all music. Just a lot of it. Maybe I'm an elitist, but probably not because I like a lot of admittedly shitty music, too. A catchy pop song does not elude me.

I'm finally graduating with my music criticism major and will be happy to grace you with my opinions right here via this blog!
